Vassileios is a Partner at the Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, associated with EY Greece, member of the EY Law network. He joined the firm in 2012 and has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2008.
Highly experienced in the fields of Banking and Insolvency Law, Vassileios has been involved in bond loan issues and securitizations for significant Greek financial institutions (both private and public) and has been appointed as a counselor to major foreign financial institutions. He has also repeatedly handled mergers and acquisitions of both Greek and foreign companies and has provided consultation to several funds on Greek NPL legislation. Vassileios has extensive experience in regulatory compliance of credit and financial institutions, as well as in the banking institutional framework, and has participated as a legal advisor in the special liquidation of three credit institutions.
Prior to joining Platis – Anastassiadis & Associates Law Partnership, associated with EY Greece, member of the EY Law network, Vassileios worked as an attorney at law, at a major Athens-based law firm, for 4 years.
He holds a Degree in Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an LLM in International Business Law from the University of Manchester, UK, with a focus on Business Law. Vassileios also holds a Certificate of Compliance in Financial and Insurance Systems from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
